What a great park. It is the location of a handful of festivals and events throughout the year. The highlight being the Sleepy Hollow production, which is well worth standing in line for a couple hours to get tickets. Check out the website to find out the day they go on sale. If you don't get tickets that day, you probably won't.
On non festival days, you can walk and explore the farm. On the backside of the park is a trail among the surrounding fields.
It was a beautiful weather day. After of our members decided to drive our horses there.
First time visiting the Buckley Homestead. We enjoyed it so much! The property is very charming. The animals were all well taken care of and loving. The trails and old buildings around the property add to the charm. Dec 2020
We have enjoyed a few workshops at the homestead. The grounds are beautiful and managed well by the Lake County parks program.
Nice park and good place to go for a hike. Don't forget to go to the 1910 farm and say hi to the pigs. They're quite talkative. But watch out for ticks if you go out in the very back my son's friend picked up 4.
What an amazing field trip! So much history. Loved our tour guides and seeing all the animals with my kiddos class.
It's a beautiful place to walk where yesteryear did. I was a little distracted at they way snomals and things were. I would've loved for the gift shop to be open.
We have been going to see the sleepy hollow and Christmas experience for over 20 years. I highly recommend this event to everyone. It's now a tradition I share with my kids like my family did.
Buckley Homestead County Park offered a beautiful spot for Sarah & TJ's wedding photos! We had so much fun exploring their beautiful property and capturing the scenic views in their wedding photos!
I had such a great time! The animals and staff are all wonderful.
